Chaeng as a professional manufacturer of slag vertical grinding mill at home and abroad, it always rely on scientific and technological, in order to improve the level of comprehensive utilization of slag grinding machine. So far, vertical roller mill has become the most leading slag grinding equipment.

As we all know, GGBS, the product quality is good or bad, which depends on the activity of slag. So what are the factors?

Firstly,The influence in specific surface area of ggbs

Specific surface area of ggbs directly affects the activity performance, The same kind of GGBS are grinding to powder with different specific surface area, the activity index which are different. With many experiments of ggbs with different specific surface area, the following rules are obtained.

1.GGBS activity index is better when the specific surface area is 430±10m²/kg, which is the ideal production technical indicator. GGBS surface area is directly related to unit hour output and energy consumption of vertical roller mill. It is more favorable that improve the quality of ggbs by increasing specific surface area, but its energy consumption with higher surface area will be sharply increased. Specific surface area is increased per 20 m² / kg, while unit-hour output of vertical mill will be decreased by 10%.

2.When the specific surface area of ggbs ≥450m² / kg, its activity has been more fully exploited, with the continuing increase in the specific surface area, the activity index is almost at the same, and energy consumption is also increased, which is not the ideal indicator.

Secondly,Influence of slag chemical composition on slag activity

The chemical composition of blast furnace slag is commonly CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, MgO and a small amount of TiO2, these metal oxide content directly affect the ggbs activity index.
