The rotary kiln is one of the equipment of the construction material machinery. According to the feed materials, it can be classified in cement kiln, metallurgy kiln and lime kiln. Through years of innovation, the burning system now is equipping with the new and advanced hydraulic catch wheel devices, the high measuring accuracy plunger pumps, the high-precision compensated flow control valves and the contacting graphite blocks, etc.

To maintain a high automaticity, all the process can be responded on the screen directly. For example, we can watch the front end fire on the industrial television, operate the fluorescent screen for the process simulation and watch the calcination lively on the computer that reflect by the infrared scanner. The widely use of these new technology make the operations more easy and handiness. And thus, the thermal system can be more stable, which also enhance the operation rate of the equipment. Compared with the same specification, the operation rate is up to 10%, the output can be raised 5%-10% and reduce 15% of the heat consumption.

After the brief introduction of the rotary kiln, now let’s go on the question that how to operate it.

1. The first thing is how to watch the fire. The focus is on the flame profile, the length of the black flame tip, the brightness of the flame and weather it is smooth and powerful. You also need to watch the situation of the clinker grains, for instance, the height of the grain can be bring at, the flatness and thickness of the kiln shell in the clinkering zone.

2. To monitor the variables continually in the kiln, consisting of the temperature and the pressure in the kiln, the content of the oxygen and carbon monoxide, the complete system of thermal regulations. And make sure that all the fuel is complete combusted. All the clinker granulation shall be tiny and small as soon as possible.

3. When operate the process of the predecomposition kiln, you should consider both the situation of the clinkers in the predecomposition system and in the front end to avoid some unusual phenomenon, such as, big rise and fall, unsintered clinkers in the front end.

4. Keep the exhaust gas in a right temperature and will not fluctuate too much.

5. make sure that the kiln shell is complete and firm and no bad effects on its thickness.

6. f-CaO≤1.5%,litre weight is within ±50g/L
