At the Mokpo cement plant  in Korea, in order to ensure more cost-effective production, cement plans have been made to replace the current out dated ball mill with a new vertical grinding plant. For this reason, Great Wall vertical roller grinding mill will produce slag cement with a fineness of 4,600 Blaine, at a capacity 45 t/h. The capacity of the gearbox will be 1,600 kW.

As a leader in technology, Great Wall Machinery originally developed the 2+2, 3+3 and 4+4 grinding systems for improving grinding bed stability. The upstream support-rollers rest on the grinding bed with up to 20% of the M-roller grinding pressure, in order to prepare it for commination. The ventilation created by this substantially improves the internal friction of the grinding material on the table and thus results in a significantly more efficient commination process.

Great wall this technology makes it possible to produce OPC cement with a fineness of more than 6,000 Blaine, and ground granulated blast furnace slag with a fineness of more than 7,000 Blaine. More than 310 grinding mills of this type have already been sold throughout the world for the production of a wide spectrum of cement types. More than 230 of these vertical mills are in operation.
